Real Estate in Victoria is still in strong demand.  According to an Article written by Carla Wilson of the Times Colonist,

Vancouver Island construction is at a 30 year high.The expectations are that this year will be the busiest year in a very long time for Victoria and Vancouver Island builders.

Total housing units under construction now stands at 3,010, and it trend shows an increase.According to CMHC (Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation), last month we had 300 building starts in the Greater Victoria Area.

Out of that only 61 were single family dwellings. Strata ownership is becoming more and more common. The average selling price for a condominium last month in the Greater Victoria Area was $318,601. For a complete market up date, check out our Victoria Real Estate Market Report.
