I was up early this morning, as usual for a Sunday, to meet up with a group of friends for an early morning cycle through the communities that surround
Victoria. I have been doing this for many years and today was one of those days that made me realize that sometimes take I where I live for granted. I am so fortunate to be able to live, work and play in such a wonderful area. It may not be Shangri-La but it is close.

I meet the group for early morning rides two other days of the week, but Sundays are always a little easier on the heart and lungs, which is great because it allows me to take in the surroundings. Today’s ride was little tour of the Peninsula: up through Langford out to the Highlands and back through Central Saanich, over Mount Work, a little push up to the National Research Council observatory, or better known in Victoria as the Centre of the Universe. From here we had spectacular views of the city,
Olympic Mountains and the Juan de Fuca Straight. Stunning!! Then down and spin back into the city for a double Americano – always the highlight at the end of the ride. Our coffee shops change daily as there are so many to choose from and all are very good.

I love days like this with the sun shinning, excellent company and wonderful scenery. One can’t ask for much more. If you happen to not live in
Victoria and are thinking of doing so, what are you waiting for? We at,
Properties In Victoria, would
be more than happy to help you find that perfect spot so you too can enjoy this little corner of the world like I do. If you do live here and you see a group of people riding along the road taking it all in, give a little honk and wave, or if you are riding your bike give a wave and a smile. Either way count yourself lucky!

Cheers and have a great day
